We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the full spectrum of accounting and financial operations in a project-based environment. This role is key to ensuring strong financial control, effective cash flow management, and compliance with statutory requirements.
You will work closely with management to drive financial planning, monitor project performance, and improve systems and processes. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, and capable of leading a team while delivering accurate and timely financial insights.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full spectrum of accounting duties including internal controls, corporate tax review.
- Maintaining the general ledger and subsidiary schedules.
- Responsible for application, operation, and planning of banking facilities such as bank overdraft, term loans, letter of credit, bank guarantee, performance bond and etc.
- Responsible for all SST for Company and advisory.
- Reconcile accounts and perform analysis of accounts balances for financial and non-financial personnel.
- Maintain the fixed assets, inventory, and financial systems.
- Prepare local, state, and federal forms and tax reports relating to property, vehicles, and general financial information.
- Design and implement new or revised accounting systems and procedures, develop, and implement policies and procedures.
- Develop short- and long-range plans for Accounts Department.
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
- Annual budget preparation, implementation, and maintenance.
- Annual audit review.
- Directs and coordinates the compilation of financial and related statistical data and supervises the preparation, coordination, and submittal of reports required by Malaysian Private Entity Reporting Standard (MPERS).
- Project costs and revenues to determine appropriate rates and fees.
- Responsible for overall cash flow requirement and treasury functions which includes monitoring credit control and debt collection process.
- Perform analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet, trend analysis, cost centre checks and transaction posting checks.
- Select, train, motivate and evaluate accounting department staffs, provide, or coordinate staff training, work with employees to correct deficiencies.
- To ensure project execution according to the established ISO 9001 Quality Management System by referring to the latest Quality Manual, Procedures Manuals and Work Instruction Manuals.
- Perform all other duties, activities and responsibilities that may assigned by superior whenever necessary from time to time.
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
- Member of Malaysia Institute of Accountant (MIA) preferrable.
- Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of MFRS and group consolidation principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
